Mickey van Dongen

I make complex multi-party processes run without me

about

The person behind stampp.consulting

Process consultant. Hands-on background in logistics and operations, from a student job at the ECT container terminal in the Port of Rotterdam (2010–2016).

I combine process analysis with building and implementing digital solutions: digitalising workflows, reducing manual work and connecting shop floor, office and management. Microsoft Power Platform is the current instrument; the process decides the tool.

My approach: speak with every party about how the work is done and received, design a solution that fits all of them, refine and implement it together, and hand it over so the next person can continue straight away.

education

Aircraft mechanic training (Royal Netherlands Air Force), Sales, Automotive Engineering and Small Business & Retail Management — started, not completed. Expertise developed through practical experience.

how I work

From conversation to handover

Where a process is split across parties, I name what is happening and build a flow that fits the company, the people and the partners. I stay until it runs without me.

  1. Talk to every party

I speak with everyone involved about how the work is done and how it is received.

  2. Design

I design a solution that fits all of them.

  3. Refine together

We refine the design together with the people who will work with it.

  4. Implement

We implement it together, and I build the digital solution myself.

At Delta Reefer Care: a handheld app for mechanics and desktop apps for office and operations.

  5. Hand over

I hand it over so the next person can continue straight away.

At Stone Solutions, the successor still runs the structure eight years later.

earlier work

Same thinking, different tools

Before Delta Reefer Care: roles in logistics and operations where I fixed the flow with whatever fitted. A Salesforce change, a shared folder, a pricing model, a settlement.

  • Tesla

    Delivery Experience Specialist · 2019

    before
During end-of-quarter peaks, each delivery required 5–6 separate documents (contracts, delivery notes, IDs), downloaded and printed one by one.
    after
I found a Salesforce specialist to adapt the system: one click produced one complete, print-ready delivery package.
    instrument
    Salesforce, adapted by a specialist

I supported a 10-person delivery team handling 500+ vehicles per day, without loss of quality.

  • Kuhlman Repko

    Expeditor · 2019–2020

    before
Import shipments for major furniture brands, including Riviera Maison and Zuiver, ran on Outlook threads and phone calls during the early COVID-19 lockdowns.
    after
One OneDrive folder per shipment, accessible only to the parties involved. The customs agent added export and import documents directly.
    instrument
    OneDrive, one folder per shipment

These supply chains kept moving despite understaffing.

  • Maersk

    Customer Service · 2019

    before
A long-outstanding €150K Demurrage & Detention case, and an approval route none of the managers knew.
    after
I proposed a same-day €120K settlement, based on the commercial reality that prolonged container disputes destroy value for both parties. I found the approval route and obtained authorisation from decision-makers in Denmark.
    instrument
A commercial case and the right approval route

A rare turnaround at Maersk Rotterdam.

  • Stone Solutions

    All-round Business Operations · 2018

    before
Placeholder how did partners and customers place orders before the catalogue?
    after
An Excel/VBA catalogue with prices and markups: partners and a kitchen company placed complete orders themselves via PDF export. When my working holiday visa ended, I handed over a working structure; the successor, hired on character, still runs it eight years later.

I progressed from handing out tools to running the office for the director, and brought the factory into compliance with SafeWork NSW silica regulations.

  • Time Matters

    Customer Service Specialist · 2016–2017

    before
During a colleague's absence, I took ownership of a critical supply chain relocation for Sensata, a sensor supplier to the major car manufacturers: dedicated European deliveries under high pressure, with fluctuating costs.
    after
I built the pricing model and negotiated automatic approval limits for fluctuating costs. Automated shared files let customer teams across regions align volumes, pricing, partners and deliveries with minimal office support.

I was asked to travel to Germany to coordinate the operation on site.
